Main Plugin Upload the store-locator folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress Sign up for a Google Maps API Key for your domain at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html Add your locations through the Add Locations page in the Store Locator admin panel Place the code [STORE-LOCATOR] (case-sensitive) in the body of a page or a post to display your store locator Addons Unzip & Upload the entire add-on folder to the /wp-content/uploads/sl-uploads/addons directory (note the new location for addons as of v1.2.37). Activate the add-on by updating the Activation Key that you receive after purchase at the bottom of the "News & Upgrades" Page. Themes Unzip & Upload the entire theme folder to the wp-content/uploads/sl-uploads/themes directory (note the new location for themes as of v1.2.37). Select theme from the theme dropdown menu under the "Design" section on the "Map Designer"™ Page. Icons There are some default icons in the /wp-content/plugins/store-locator/icons directory. Add your own custom icons in to wp-content/uploads/sl-uploads/custom-icons (note the new location for custom icons as of v1.2.37). Custom CSS (Stylesheet) As of version 1.2.37, you can modify the default store-locator.css and place it under /wp-content/uploads/sl-uploads/custom-css/. The store locator will give priority to the store-locator.css in the custom-css/ folder over the default store-locator.css in the main store-locator/ folder. This allows you to upgrade the main store locator plugin without worrying about losing your custom styling.

See full installation intructions and Documentation Unzip into a directory in /wp-content/plugins/, for example /wp-content/plugins/mappress-google-maps-for-wordpress.zip. Be sure to put all of the files in this directory. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress Enter your Google Maps API key and other options using the the MapPress menu - its right under the standard Settings menu. Thats it - now youll see a MapPress meta box in in the edit posts screen. You can use it to add maps to your posts just by entering the address to display and an (optional) comment for that address.

In some explanations, i ask to edit a php file. Be careful to edit them with a good editor like Notepad++ and open each file with the format "UTF-8 without BOM". Iv added my first map in one of my post, but when try to see it theres an error message who tells me something like "This website require an API key...". Whats wrong ? For this plugin to works, you have to firstly ask Google for an API key (its free, quick and easy to obtain). Id like to get the Google maps interface in my native language. How can i do that? Edit the file googlemap-en_US.po by using a PO file editor such as : KBabel (Linux) should be available as a package for your Linux distribution, so install the package. poEdit (Linux/Windows) available from http://www.poedit.net/. For french in this example, save it as googlemap-fr_FR.po a googlemap-fr_FR.mo will be automatically generated. Put the googlemap-xx_XX.mo file in the lang folder (under google-maps), the PO file is just here to generate the MO translation file... Ok, ive done what you explain above, but the Google maps interface is still in english How to make it works? Open your wp-config.php file (at the root of your blog) and search for : define (WPLANG, xx_XX); where xx_XX is your language. If this line doesnt exist add it in your file. Author: Keith Graham The Recent Google Searches Widget collects the query string from Google, Bing and Yahoo. It lists the last 5 as a sidebar widget so that users might click on them and find information using the WordPress search. In this way a user might find more pages that satisfy his search and other users may be interested in the same things that previous searchers used as queries. It is quite possible that the Search engine query will result in a not found because the WordPress built-in search is not very flexible, so I have written a loose search plugin that I am going to submit to the plugin repository
Installation:
Download the plugin. Upload the plugin to your wp-content/plugins directory. Activate the plugin. Drag the widget to a sidebar. Edit the sidebar title if needed.
