JournalPress is a WordPress plugin that enabled cross-posting to sites running LiveJournal Server (i.e. LiveJournal, InsaneJournal, JournalFen, et al.). It is based on the existing LJXP plugin, however it has a raft of new features including
Installation:
Upload the journalpress folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory;
Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress;
...
Profit!
faq:
Why doesnt x work?
Because its a very, very early release of the plug-in, of course! All bugs and suggestions should be filed at the project site.
Wheres my promised userpic selection, huh?
Yeah, about that. LJs XML client apparently freaks out when trying to parse the return value from LiveJournal containing the list of userpics... sometimes. This is pretty much my top bugfix priority, because man do I love userpics.
... now if only I knew how to solve it.
What about Currents?
Theres current (har har) basic Currents support using the Custom Fields mood, music and location on a post. Note these are case-sensitive, and all lowercase.
This will likely be extended in future to include hooks into other plugins that assist with these features.
My community posts dont post!
Communities in LJ-land are a bit finicky. Specifically they wont post if your security is private, and they wont post under certain backdated conditions.
Do you support MU?
No. Its on the list.
Why dont you support per-post security settings?
We do, but its via a separate plugin: WP-Flock.
